GIVING PROPS WHERE PROPS ARE DUE.
The increased power of this engine requires more powerful gears, and more powerful gears take up more space. How do you design a solution that doesn’t compromise performance? Enter our contra-rotating dual propeller system. The contra-rotating propeller provides more “grip” underwater, and because contra-rotating propellers distribute the engine torque evenly over two propellers, the torque per propeller decreases and we can reduce the gear size and design a smaller, more hydrodynamic gear case.
ONBOARD WITH OFFSET DRIVE SHAFTS.
By positioning the crankshaft in front of the drive shaft, we’ve moved the outboard’s center of gravity forward, making the outboard more compact and increasing its performance. This design also significantly reduces vibration by moving the engine’s axis of inertia—the point where engine vibrations are at a minimum—up over the upper engine mount.

Our technologically advanced Precision Control System is a computer-based drive-by-wire control system that eliminates the friction and resistance of mechanical control cables. SUZUKI DUAL PROP SYSTEM - TWO COUNTER-ROTATING PROPELLERS
Suzuki Corporation engineers are very well aware that the shape of the gearbox and the design of the propeller greatly affect the performance of the motor. The two counter-rotating propellers provide good traction and acceleration, and it is the design that results in a more compact, streamlined and hydrodynamic gearbox. The torque is equally distributed between the two screws, thus reducing the load on one screw.
One of the notable advantages of the motor is its exceptional directional stability, which is achieved by turning the propellers in the opposite direction.
TWO FUEL INJECTORS FOR COOLING AND POWER
Fuel injection provides fuel atomization and cylinder cooling. To provide the necessary power and cooling, fuel is injected at a strictly defined time and at the required angle. The new system consists of two small fuel injectors that provide high accuracy, fast atomization and fuel efficiency.
TECHNOLOGICALLY PERFECT PISTONS
Due to the high compression ratio (10.5:1), pistons require more advanced technology than before. Not only the surface of the piston, but also the connecting rod, other metal products must withstand heavy loads. To help the piston handle the extra lateral pressure, the decision was made to switch from standard assembly heat treatment to shot peening. Shot peening technology produces a rough, clean surface which in turn evenly distributes the pressure generated during combustion. This is a more expensive and complex technology, but it is she who makes such a piston, which has the right to be called "the best".
