Introducing the new SunCamper 29
We are proud to introduce the all new SunCamper 29 largely influenced by its popular predecessors, the SunCamper 30 & SunCamper 35 – both winning the acclaimed Polish ‘Yacht of the Year’ Awards in 2010 & 2019 respectively.
The new SunCamper 29, although more compact in size, still retains the functionality and cabin layout of its bigger cousins – but its weight and size ratio make it a great boat for easy close-quarter manoeuvring and transporting by road.
The distinctive hull shape of the SunCamper 29 with its higher bow, offers a dry ride in choppy waters whilst the lower side decks and aft platforms with walk-through transom provides ease of access from pontoons.
IMPRESSIVE QUALITY COMBINED WITH SUPERIOR FUNCTIONALITY
Another distinctive feature of the SunCamper 29 are the large panoramic windows in the light & airy wheelhouse, internally it can accommodate up to 7 people overnight in comfort with 3x double berths and 1x single berth.
The advantage of this sedan style cabin cruiser is the ease of access between the saloon and cockpit, aft platforms and side decks provided by a wide glazed sliding aft door and a side door next to the helmsman’s seat which will undoubtedly be appreciated by the helmsman when mooring.
By opening the glazed aft sliding door, the saloon and cockpit create one large living space; the optional canvas side curtains and sunroof enclose the entire cockpit providing additional shelter from wind and rain.
Besides, both the bright deckhouse and the cockpit are placed under a sun roof with two sliding covers which can be easily opened, allowing for better ventilation and sunlight. The rear cover may carry photovoltaic panels.
The functional interior of the SunCamper 29 includes everything you need for long family cruises. At the front of the vessel there is a comfortable, lockable bow cabin with good headroom, a double berth, an additional separate single berth on the port side with heads opposite to starboard side.
THE INTERIOR PROVIDES MAXIMUM COMFORT
Moving aft the internal helm position which is located on the starboard side along with a fully equipped galley with sink, gas cooker, refrigerator, high and low level cupboards and drawers providing ample storage. Further aft is the entrance to the double aft guest cabin. On the port side of the wheelhouse there is a convertible dinette area where the table lowers and converts into a comfortable extra double berth.
The aft-facing seat of the dinette has an adjustable backrest and a lift mechanism that provides a double forward-facing co-pilot seat when underway.
Behind the wheelhouse, there is a large sheltered sociable cockpit with seating surrounding a large picnic table for up to 4/5 people. Additional storage compartments are located under the seats. There is a gate on the starboard side of the transom that allows you to enter the stern platform under which the swim ladder is fixed.
ADAPTABLE ACCESS
The wider deck with high safety handrails on the starboard side allows for easy access to the bows, where you will find a seating area and the perfect vantage point to watch the world go by or waiting for a lock to open. The port side deck, although narrow, is still very useable thanks to the high-level grab rails and both sides are equipped with four cleats for easy docking.
SAFETY IN SHALLOW WATERS
The underwater section of the SunCamper 29 has been designed with triple keels that keep the draft to a minimu whilst offering greater directional stability and precise handling, with a flat aft section to minimise wash.
CHOICE OF ENGINES
SunCamper 29 can be powered by „high thrust” outboard engines with power from 25 to 115 HP. To drive a houseboat without permission in Poland „high thrust” engines with a power up to 60 HP are recommended, which allows you reaching a speed of up to 15 km/h. At an economical speed of approximately 10 km/h, such engine consumes up to 3 liters of gasoline per hour.
Apart from the recommended outboard drive, versions with a 20 or 30 HP inboard diesel engine have also been developed, allowing a maximum speed of 12 - 14 km/h.
Besides, in the case of an ecological electric drive with a straight shaft, engines with a power of 8 - 15 kW powered by batteries with a safe voltage of up to 50 V are planned. A houseboat powered in this way should reach a maximum speed of 10 - 12 km/h. Outboard electril engine is also possible.
