Terhi 480 BR

A versatile family boat with dual consoles

Terhi 480 BR is a sturdy and safe bow rider, ideally designed for day tripping along the coast, sea transfers between i.e. the summer house and the mainland and even for water sport enthusiasts. The boat has a practical layout with dual steering consoles and a steady 2-piece middle door, which provides shelter for the driver, co-driver and passengers in the back. The stern area comfortably seats up to five adults, as it has been fitted with two fully padded comfort seats and a wide stern bench. Behind the stern bench there is even a canopy storage compartment, where on can store the stern  canopy when not in use. The seperately bought stern canopy covers the whole stern area in case of sudden rain.

 

Plenty of storage capacity

In addition to the canopy storage the boat has a comprehensive amount of other storage compartments. The steering consoles have storage spaces for small belongings, a place for bottles as well as two lockable glove compartments. Under the seat in the bow there is a spacious storage space and above it a locker for mooring lines. In the stern there’s two decked compartments for mooring lines and anchor, and a spacious storage space inside the stern bench. Most of the storage compartments are lockable.

 

The 480 BR comes with a comprehensive range of standard equipment, and include e.g. two padded comfort seats, a wide stern bench with good legroom, cleats and a 2-piece door between the consoles. The console has a 12 V outlet and space for a 9’’ chart plotter on the instrument panel. The bow can be equipped with a sunbed and by removing the paddings the plain surface can even be used as a casting deck for spin fishing.

 

Unsinkable construction

The 480 BR is a sturdy and safe family boat that is made utilizing the same durable construction method as the rest of the Terhi models. However, the 480 models are made with not only two, but a three layer structure of ABS plastic. The unique Terhi structure guarantees boats that are not only unsinkable, but also surprisingly quiet even in rough waters.

The ABS sheets are vacuumformed under high pressure and extremely hot temperatures, to form the interior and exterior hulls. The void in-between the two hulls is filled with water non-absorbent polyurethane foam. As the foam dries it glues to hulls firmly together, simultaneously reinforcing the structure, making the hulls torsionally rigid and dampening hull-borne noises. The result is a durable boat with high degree of finish, that withstands time and active day to day use.
